Award-winning producer and director of photography Matt Siegel designs, composes, and lights for commercials, feature films, SVOD, documentaries, and branded content.

His commercial client list includes Google, Toyota, Ford, SONY, Audi, MasterCard, Microsoft, and Coca-Cola, with the work winning international recognition and ADDY, TELE, Cannes’ Golden Lion, and Cable ACE awards.

Matt’s extensive experience as a Unit DP and Camera Operator on episodic television includes the NBC series Council of Dads and Heroes, Hulu series Castle Rock, the WB series Everwood, and the CBS dramas Joan of Arcadia and The Mentalist.

As a feature film camera operator, he has worked on Hollywood’s biggest film franchises including The Matrix: Reloaded, Master and Commander, Spiderman 2, and Mr. and Mrs. Smith.

While producing and shooting reality and adventure TV, Matt has traveled the globe with Animal Planet, Asian Food Network, Comedy Central, Discovery, Discovery Kids, HGTV, Smithsonian Channel, and the Travel Channel.

He lent his professional and academic expertise as a founding professor at New York University’s Tisch School of the Arts-Asia. He has since started the new Communications and Media Arts program at the ºÚÁÏÍø911 in Biddeford, Maine. 

Matt served on the National Executive Board and Western Regional Council of the International Cinematographers Guild, IATSE Local 600.

John Wiley and Sons, Ltd., London published his Introduction to Digital Cinematography, while his latest industry paper PR in the Digital Age will be presented at the 11th International Communications and Media Studies Conference, Singapore in October 2026.
