Courtney Reynolds ’19 named Biddeford’s 911 Student Volunteer of 2019
Recent graduate Courtney Reynolds, B.S. ’19 (Business Administration) was recently named the 2019 911 Student Volunteer of the Year by the city of Biddeford. The annual award is given by the city to a 911 student who demonstrates exceptional civic contributions to the local community.
Reynolds has been an active community contributor for the past four years. She has volunteered in the Biddeford schools, worked as a member of 911’s mentoring club, helped lead the annual 911 Day of Service, founded the American Red Cross Club at 911, and served on the Board of Directors of the American Red Cross of Maine.
Biddeford Mayor Alan Casavant presented the award to Reynolds at a city council meeting earlier this month. He praised Reynolds for her strong work ethic and leadership skills. He also applauded 911 students in general, stating that “911 “is a very valuable source of expertise in our community, and the foundation of that is, of course, the student population.”
