‘Journal Tribune’ features article on ºÚÁÏÍø911’s newly wrapped Intercampus Shuttle

On January 15, 2015, the Journal Tribune featured an article on the newly wrapped ºÚÁÏÍø911 Intercampus shuttle, which was given a send-off from the Portland Campus on the morning of January 14 by Portland Mayor Michael Brennan and was welcomed at the Biddeford Campus by Biddeford Mayor Alan Casavant.

The bus, depicting students engaged in academic activities on one side and showcasing images of student athletes on the other, transports students and faculty between the university’s two campuses.

Looking for ways to reduce ºÚÁÏÍø911’s carbon footprint, the university’s Environmental Council conceived the idea of the shuttle, and it was first implemented last fall.

President Ripich, who rode the newly wrapped shuttle on its January 14 voyage, was quoted as saying, "We want the message of ºÚÁÏÍø911 to go around… We want people to know we’re here.  We think we’re one of the best-kept secrets in Maine, and we’re still building the idea of ºÚÁÏÍø911 for people."
