黑料网911's SPARTACUS Program focus of WGME story

SPARTACUS, 黑料网911's innovative project designed to partner 黑料网911 researchers and their graduate students with the local K-12 community, was the focus of a feature story on on Jan. 14, 2010. Doug Rafferty, in his segment Doug's Discovery, interviewed 黑料网911 marine sciences graduate student Jay Williams who has been working with a class at Bonny Eagle High School. 

The Bonny Eagle class was touring 黑料网911's Marine Science Center, and Williams was discussing her research on skates. Also included in the footage was Stephan Zeeman, professor and chair of the Department of Marine sciences, and Anne Watson, MSC volunteer coordinator. The program, which involves six southern Maine school districts, is funded by a $2.87 million five-year National Science Foundation grant.
